Background

REAL Digital was formed in 2004 with the aim of becoming a world class marketing services provider. The heart of the business is innovative printing technology and support services, enabling four colour printing of high volume variable data and images at commercial speeds.

A key objective in planning the company was to support the production capability with IT and software solutions that would catalyse variable data publishing. Documents would be created and seamlessly printed (or provided electronically) to customers for them to either print or file as required.

By 2006 the technology was in place and producing best of breed communications for loyalty programmes, billing and statementing cycles, point of sale and direct marketing.  Investment has continued every year since then, to ensure that REAL Digital continues to lead the market in capability, innovation and quality.

REAL has developed a purpose built 70,000 square ft factory in Croydon, Surrey, equipped with the most sophisticated production equipment and technical solutions available in the market today. From web to sheet printers, through the best Xerox digital printers to finishing and enclosing machines, all fitted with scanning technology to manage document integrity through the entire production cycle. REAL has the ability to produce great paper-based communications. Securely and reliably.

Versatility is key, so the production equipment is supported by software tools to enable seamless output of electronic communications and documents direct to desktops.

Equipment and IT are only part of the story. REAL Digital go to great lengths to recruit, train and retain sector experts who have direct experience and understanding of how to produce variable content campaigns.
